Welcome to Our Place in Portland, Dorset
When we first found this Victorian cottage on the Isle of Portland, we fell in love with its sea views, character and charm. Over time, we’ve restored it with care, keeping the original quirks that make it special, while adding thoughtful touches to make it a cosy, comfortable home for guests.
It’s become more than just a place to stay; it’s somewhere to breathe in the sea air, put the kettle on, and feel instantly at ease. We love sharing it with families, walkers, couples and anyone looking for a relaxed break on Dorset’s Jurassic Coast.
With three welcoming bedrooms, a kitchen made for slow mornings and shared meals, and the South West Coast Path right on the doorstep, we hope you’ll feel the same sense of escape here that we do.
Location
Our cottage is tucked away in a peaceful spot on the Isle of Portland, yet everything you need is close at hand. You can wander to local shops, cafés and pubs, or take a short drive to explore some of the island’s best-loved places — from the rugged beauty of Portland Bill Lighthouse, to the hidden cove at Church Ope Cove and the sculpture trails of Tout Quarry. The coast path is just moments away, making it easy to head out on foot and explore at your own pace.
Being right on the world-famous Jurassic Coast gives you front-row seats to one of the UK’s most dramatic landscapes.
